  • what tasks did you complete over this past week?

I finished making the basic necessary functions of the inventory, also some other core mechanics such as doors and keys. Also helping my teammate check the camera angels.

  • what are you aiming to do next? why?

Making the experience more fluent by playtesting and fixing whatever is not good enough. Also ART.

  • how do you feel about progress on the project? has it been slow or fast? why or why not?

I feel that it has been a little slow. Mostly because of scope: for example, in our original plan,  we wanted to have a bunch of paintings hanging in the hall that are possessed by ghosts or whatever. And the player have to beat the ghosts by specific items to get new keys to enter the next rooms. However, the only items and levels we have so far is "opening the door with a key" and it's working. If we actually add the paintings stuff now we would have to spend almost all of our time making new assets and new mechanisms which is clearly too risky. Therefore we probably have to go with the safest scope, although a bit boring.
